How it works:

Registration: Upon enrolment, we’ll assign a dedicated assessor to you.
Site Visits: Your assessor will schedule site visits based on your work availability to observe your skills.
Evidence Gathering: During these visits, your assessor will capture evidence through photos, videos, and recordings.
Workbook: You will complete a workbook questionnaire containing knowledge questions about your role.
Completion: The qualification is typically achieved within 6-8 weeks.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, the candidates should be working within the industry to enrol in this NVQ.

Assessment

Practical Observation on-site. This includes documenting tasks like:

Pipework preparation: Preparing pipework components for installation, including cutting, threading, and bending pipes.
Joint preparation: Preparing joints for pipework connections, such as cleaning, sealing, and applying joint compounds.
Pipework installation: Installing pipework components, including connecting pipes, fittings, and valves.
Support structures: Installing support structures, such as brackets, hangers, and clips.
Testing and commissioning: Testing and commissioning pipework systems to ensure proper functionality.

Workbook questionnaire to be completed over a 6-8 week period, at your own pace
